Each venue gets an editorial score from a Bayesian average weighing its Google rating against the number of people who rated it. That stops a 4.7 from 50 reviews outranking a 4.4 from 635, which is the more reliable result. No commercial relationship affects position.
No. Some venues are LocalEnhance clients or paid placements and each is labelled on its card, with rel="sponsored" on paid outbound links. Position itself is not for sale.
Every rating on the site was pulled from Google Places on 27 July 2026 and each venue was confirmed as still trading. The check re-runs monthly.
A venue comes off the list when Google reports it permanently closed, or when we cannot resolve it to a real trading business. Both checks run on every monthly rebuild.
